Over 300 strong membership.. perhaps unique in MG clubs in the fact that 'Hunter' is made up ENTIRELY of MG owners... Full membership requires proof of MG ownership - chassis/engine number.. at least. Every member of the club's committee is an MG owner! Whilst the majority of members prefer the less demanding 'social' type of events enjoying their MG's, a smaller more concentrated group regularly do battle in Historic Racing events ranging the full length of eastern Australia under the banner of 'Team Hunter". Regular technical sessions covering restoration and maintenance of all models of the marque are arranged, as are the monthly club nights held at 'MGHQ"... the 105 year-old Mechanics Institute in the Newcastle suburb of Lambton.
