MG Midget and Sprite Technical - custom oil pan

after watching a recent ebay auction for a custom oil pan go ridiculously high I thought I would build some and see if anyone wants one. I am not looking for a ton of money for a custom oil pan but I think it can offset the price of my project by modifying some of the spare oil pans I have in the shop.

That is the item that was on ebay, speedwell used to make one with a windage tray as well.

If anyone wants a custom pan just send me an email or add some input into the design of these pans. I am building a costom pan for my turbo with an oil return so I can use the oil mounting for the fuel pump as a crankcase vent.

I was tracking that as well, I can not belive it went for that....

Now, if someone could cast an alloy one with some crossbracing, finned base, proper seals at the front and back, breathers and a trap at the back to catch rear seal drips.......

I tried a UK company (Vale Castings) but they said it would be too difficult to cast unless using a vacuum method. How about making the top, sides and base in 3 pieces and welding it???

Imagine a sump that didn't warp and also added to the rigiditty of the crankcase!

I think it was so expensive because it's so light.
Look again in two of the images it looks like its levitating.
