MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Detaching brake pipes from MC

I need to remove my brake master cylinder (dual circuit type) to replace the o-rings between the plastic reservoir and the cylinder. I'm assuming that to detatch the brake pipes I undo the large nuts where the pipes enter the MC, rather than the smaller nuts that screw into these larger ones. Correct?

If I'm correct, what size are the large nuts? My 3/4" and 19mm spanners are a tad small so I need to buy one to suit.

no I think you need to undo the smaller nuts which are part of the pipe assembly. The large nuts are just threaded bosses.

Definately not Jordon, you need to undo the small nuts, undoing the big ones first will simply twist the brake/clutch pipe and shear it off. Not what you want. :-)

Glad I asked! I do wonder why I can't work these things out for myself. I used to consider myself a practical sort of chap...

Haynes of course just says 'undo the pipes'.
