MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Duel Brake Connection
Hi: I would like to use a duel master brake cylinder in my racer. Can anyone tell me how the brake lines were attached? Does the front connection go to the front wheels and the back connection to the back wheels or does it connect one front and opposite back? Is there a proportioning valve in the system? Thanks and Godspeed in Safety Fast Jc ![]()

John, If you're refering to the standard later MC, then it's front to front and rear to rear. And standard didn't use a proportioning valve. Interesting car. Details? Martin

Thanks Martin: Yes, that is the master cylinder that I am going to use. The car is my recreation of a ‘50s club racer. I used Sprite front suspension, 1275 midget engine and transmission. The rear is my own design with MGB springs cut to ¼ elliptical, adjustable trailing links, watt’s linkage and external coil over shocks. I made the frame and the body which is all steel. The build is finished and I am now “restoring” it. Brakes, electrical, paint and upholstery left to go. I have attached another pix. Godspeed in Safety Fast Jc ![]()
