MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Gearbox jumping out of third gear.

Hello everyone, I recently ended the restauration of my '67 midget but unfortunaly it keeps jumping out of third gear. It is the original ribbed 4 speed gearbox.(I don't want to fit a 5speedgearbox, maybe next Midget)I renewed a lot of parts like 1 speedgear, bearings, laygear +shaft baulkrings and the balls and springs for the synchro rings.
In my opinion I set the correct endfloat for the laygear and the input- and mainshaft.
I have taken the engine and box out again and it just as if the synchroring doesn't slide to the thirdgear enough.(see image). The rear extension has the partnumber 22A478 and Moss (europe) says it is partnumber 22A474 (probably no more available)Could I have the wrong rear extension? Or does anyone else have sugestions what could be wrong?
Many thanks in advance.
Pascal
