MG MGA - 1800 Engine, which clutch?

I am installing an 1800 engine in my MGA, (1968 model engine, 5 main beraing). Which clutch and preasure plate do I use? The stock MGA 1500 or the MGB 1800?

Use the MGB pressure plate and throwout bearing.

Use the MGA clutch disc. (Only if using the MGA transmission)

Did you get that conversion outline I sent you?

I'd switch to the MGB gearbox front cover, release fork, release bearing and pressure plate, and use the standard A friction plate. The B pressure plate is stronger and cheaper than the A one.

You have to modify the A flywheel or use a B one. The B one is lighter, which is better,, but if you use the A one, have it lightened too, the improvement in engine response is immense.
