MG MGA - body to frame packing

I was going over the various cork and rubber pieces on my frame last night, comparing them to the CSR packing kit. Everything agrees, but I'm not sure about the interface of the body to the top of the "goalpost". The CSR kit has a piece of cork for this location, which agrees with what was on my frame. However, the top of my goalpost also seems to have a thin piece of rubber about 1" wide and 39" long under the cork, to the interior side. The CSR kit does not supply this, nor can I find it in Moss or Scarborough Faire catalogs. I recall postings about the importance of a good seal here, so what's supposed to go there besides the cork?

George, I bought my kit from Todd Clarke and these pieces were included in his illustration of where all the packing pieces went. His instructions were to cut the appropriate length from a long piece of rubber in the kit..... Mike
