MG MGA - Master Cylinder Pipe hook-up

Greetings all.

My car came VERY disassembled so I never saw just how the pipes are/were connected to the M/C. I've been unsuccessful at finding photo(s)/drawings. Parts catalogs indicate 1 or 2 "banjo fittings? I have no idea how many to order for my 1600 coupe. Can a few of you please forward a shots of how these lines are connected and the path they take on the bulkhead. Thanks! Cheers!

This is mine. Top picture brake, bottom picture clutch. I will let other left hookers tell you about the routing. Mine is RHD.

Robert, this is the best I could do, Hope it helps. I might recommend Todd Clarkes restoration guide, it has this king of info, diagrams, etc, an asset for the restorer/rebuilder. Marvin

The left side (as you arelooking at the m/c) is the brake pipe which goes into a male/female adapter. The right side is the clutch pipe which goes into a banjo, and a hollow bolt goes into the m/c.
Page M2 of the original parts book shows these components clearly. (I can email it to you if you need it).

Yes Peter, I saw the diagram in the parts book but I didn't know, based on the conflicting information in part supplier catalogs, if two banjo fittings were used or just the one. I wonder what the purpose of the banjo fitting is since none is required for the brake supply line? Thanks again to one and all! Big help! Cheers.

Marvin, I thought the M/C and pedal assembly mounted omn the body?
