MG MGA - MG brake pedal ratio

Hi all.
Does any body no the brake pedal ratio for an A please. Also anybody got a spare brake pedal. Over the winter I've modified the braking system to accept a MG midget tandam master cylinder. To get a better pedal I would like to alter the pedal ratio and see if that makes a difference.
Thanks.

Not sure with an MGA but a MGB = 4.35
An MGA pedal is longer from the pivot to the footpad compared to an A but unsure of the actual ratio

Does this help ? Just a quick photo and measurement.
Hopefully it is enough to give you an idea.

The apparant mis-alignment of the pedal and the domensions is just parallax.

Why a Midget master cylinder ? Isn't the bore different than the MGA one ?

Hi Jim.
Thanks very helpful. I used a Midget tandam cylinder because I had one.the Mgb tandam is the the same bore size as the Midget @ 0.75". The orginal MGA is 7/8th. The difference has given me a longer pedal but still seems to work OK. If I could stiffen the pedal up with aratio change I will attempt it.

That top lever length is 'roughly' 3x the bore size
You have changed the bore by 1/8" so you need to extend the lever by 3/8" (roughly) to get the same feel.

It's all a bit back to front to what normally happens in a racer--The aim there is for big bore big leverage so that there's the capability of moving lots of fluid when needed--you won't have that feature, but if you're not driving it seriously hard you should be ok.

The question is though---why not just fit the correct size cylinder--lot easier
