MG MGA - rare mga sump guard

i have taken an engine sump guard from an MGA coupe 1622cc model, it looks like it is an original part, can anyone tell me if they ever made such a part please

I don't recall ever seening a sump guard listed in any of the special tuning options that I've seen. Probably a bespoke piece made up for rallying.

I bought mine from Brown and Gammons some years ago when preparing the car for classic rallying.I believe
they have them in stock but you have to ask.
