MG MGA - rhd steering rack
I am restoring a Mk11 Mga LHD and want to convert this to a RHD. Does anyone have a rhd steering rack that is for sale or in the absence of that are then any other options such as using a MGB rack instead.

I once brought from Moss UK, just the steering joint and converted a LHD rack to RHD. The actual Rack is the same, just a new pinion is needed though. I emailed them recently to do the same with my twin cam rack, but they would not supply it. I seems Moss UK were once offering this service, if you look up NLA part number. AHH6001CE Lots of stuff here too. http://www.chicagolandmgclub.com/photos/a_rack/ If you find out, please let me know. Cheers <MARK>

I am racking (no pun meant) my brains for the name of an engineer that I was put in touch with through the MG Octagon Club. He lived near Reading and did the unleaded head conversion for my TC (not Twin Cam) back in 1995. When I got my MGA in 96 he took the LHD rack off me, robbed one or 2 bits off it to make me up a RHD rack. Beatiful job. Perhaps one of 'square rigger' owners may be able to the supply the name. I will check my contacts book at work tomorrow. Steve

Found his name: Ray Sales. His number was 01344 483070. He was not the youngest of guys back in 1996/7 so I cannot be sure he is still in business. Might be worth the phone call. Steve
