MG MGB Technical - EBD Exhaust Manifold (+15BHP!?)

Hello everyone,

I searched the archives however found nothing…as I have heard quite a bit about this EBD Exhaust Manifold. Currently I have an MS Daytona and the obligatory K&N 57i on a VVC - it's quite fast particularly in the VVC zone of 4.5K - 7.1K revs however as a true MG enthusiast I am always looking for more power :) I was considering forced induction however it is very costly…

Therefore what’s the story about this manifold? I heard that Mike S was looking to design one soon offering an additional 15BHP?!

Whilst on the ramps recently, I also noticed that the existing one is a rather poor Rover effort. :(

Has anyone had this fitted and what sort of difference on the rollers does it make... from past experience I believe that a 4-1 manifold offers better high up torque/power whereas a 4-2-1 offers a better torque spread.

I’d be interested in hearing from anyone that’s had one fitted to the MGF or Elise and about any roller results…

You probably meant to post this on the MGF board, but 158 hp sounds good to me.
